Game Guidelines

Guidelines for On-Court InterruptionsShould any disturbance occur during play, such as another shuttle or a person inadvertently entering your court, please stop the rally and re-serve.

Should the shuttle touch the ceiling during play, the point will be given to the opposing player or team.

All decisions made by the line umpire and the main umpire are final. Players are requested not to contest or interfere with their judgments during the match.

Kindly avoid the use of inappropriate or offensive words during the event.

Players are requested to refrain from throwing rackets or showing anger on the court. Please uphold proper sportsmanship throughout the event.
Winning Point ProcedureNo deuce will be allowed. If both players are at match point, the first player to score the next point will be declared the winner.
League Tie Resolution GuidelinesIf teams in the league have an equal number of match wins, the total scores from all matches will be calculated. The team with the highest cumulative score will be declared the winner. If the total scores are also tied, the winner will be decided by a game of rock-paper-scissors.
Timeouts and Court ChangesTimeouts:
Each team is allowed one 15-second timeout per game.

Court Change:
Side Change Every Set (Standard Rule)

For a 21-point game, a side change will occur at the 11th point of the 3rd set.

For a 15-point game, a side change will occur at the 8th point of the 3rd set.
Match Readiness and Forfeiture PolicyTeams are requested to be ready 15 minutes before their scheduled match time.

Delay Policy: Any delay will automatically result in the opposing team being awarded the win for the match (forfeiture).

Reporting Delays: If you anticipate a delay,
kindly call the organizers in advance and inform them. They will check if a minor schedule adjustment is possible.

Final Decision: Please note that any decision regarding schedule changes will be made solely by the organizing committee after considering scheduling constraints. We appreciate the teams’ understanding of this policy.
TossSpinning the shuttlecock

The winner of the toss gets to choose one of the following:
1,To serve first or receive first.
2,To start play at one end of the court or the other (i.e., choose the side).
ServingThe serve shall be executed from below the waist. Please follow the gentleman’s rule regarding fair play and etiquette.
